While not all horses will allow you to work on them without sedation, a majority of horses that have been handled on a regular basis and have good ground manners will. Begining at a young age they learn it is a regular part of their care and readily accept it. Do not wait until your horse is old or experiencing problems to attemp dental care without sedation.
Some types of dental care will require vet sedation for the work to be done. We usually will examine the horse and its personality first if it is determined the we will require vet assistance. We will coordinate the next appointment for the next visit.
